Many thanks to everyone who came along to support us,it was geat to meet all of you, and we really had a fantastic day. Here are some photos of the event:

CANINE CAPERS - ST HELENS, 18.6.11

And we begin with Big Dunc, who we met at Canine Capers - courtesey of his very proud dad! Many thanks!

We had a marvellous day at Marbury Park in Comberbach, Cheshire at the Pets In The Park event. We met so many lovely people with their dogs and raised funds to help us with the work we do. It was a breezy day but the rain very kindly held off until we had packed away and were on our way home. Here are a few memories of the day.

FUN DOG SHOW, WIDNES, 21.11.10

We held a Fun Dog Show at Chapelfield Community Centre in Widnes on Sunday 21st November 2010, to help to raise funds to buy a projector and screen for our educational talks, something which we urgently need.

We were absolutely delighted with the number of dogs and owners who came down to join us for a fun afternoon of 8 Classes, and we had

many different shapes and sizes of dogs - it was an incredibly hard job for our Judge to choose the winners of each class.

The first placed dogs in each class were as follows:

Most Handsome Male - Louis, a 3 year old Dogue de Bordeaux

Prettiest Bitch - Sammy, a 2 year old German Shepherd Cross

Cutest Puppy - Saoirse, a 5 month old Labrador bitch

Waggiest Tail - TBA

Best Veteran - Bud, a 22 year old Bichon Frise dog

Best Rescue - Lexi, an 11 year old German Shepherd Cross bitch

Best 6 Legs (dog and owner) - O.J., a 1 year old male Briard

Dog the Judge would most like to take home - Ben, 10 year old male

Lurcher/Deerhound Cross

Best In Show - Sammy, 2 year old German Shepherd Cross, Winner of

Prettiest Bitch Class

Reserve Best In Show - Bud, 22year old Bichon Frise dog, Winner of Best Veteran Class

Guest Judge, Martina Dorfer of Country Dog Groomers said, "I certainly had my work cut out today, there were so many lovely dogs to choose

from. They were all amazing, but one dog in particular deserves a

special mention - 22 year old Bud - getting to such an old age is one

serious achievement!".

Apart from the Fun Dog Show, Trophy Pet Foods ran a free weight check clinic for dogs and they provided the first place winners with a goody

bag containing toys, treats and food. Muttz n Moggz brought a stall along to sell some doggy Christmas treats, and Kat Harrison from

Doodles Dog Walking and Pet Services was kept busy at her face painting stall.

On October 3rd 2010, we held our first Animal Blessing, with Lay Preacher Hazel Bradley leading the service for us. Despite the torrential rain on the day, we had a lovely service and here is a selection of some of the dogs and owners who attended.

Our First Fun Dog Show, Sunday 8th August, 2010 - we had a fantastic day, thank you to everyone who joined us!
